"Blue Hokusai" Print by Aaron Kai

• The design of this artwork was created by Aaron Kai, who drew inspiration from the famous painting "The Great Wave of Kanagawa" by Hokusai. The connection between Japan and Hawai'i can be traced back to the sugar cane plantations located on the Hamakua coast, which is where Aaron's family comes from. The concept was modernized by incorporating bright blue colors.
